Three friends set off for the Gasherbrums in Pakistan, one chasing a solo speed record without oxygen. Same expedition, three different returns. A film about the gap between what the mountain gives and what you carry home.
The films are about people whose outward quest reveals a deeper one.
It can be a summit, a race, an album, a product, or a valley. What we follow is the quieter pursuit underneath. We build each piece around it, letting it find its own shape. Ours run 18, 40, 59, 66 minutes, because the story decides its length.
The surest way to keep making the films we believe in was to own them.
Editorial freedom was the point from the start. Keeping it meant not waiting for permission, backing the films ourselves and taking on the risk. The rest is the system that makes it viable: ownership, direct distribution, and a share for everyone who makes the work.
Every Original is an asset we build, operate, and grow over time. The IP belongs to FAULN, the editorial decisions are ours, and so is the risk.
We distribute the films ourselves and earn through products aligned with the story: screenings and events, books and prints, merch, training, VOD. Nothing stands between the film and the people who watch it.
Athletes, crew, contributors: everyone involved in an Original shares in the revenue it generates. The value the work creates goes back to the people who made it.
None of these films is a commission. Some we paid for entirely, some with a partner covering what a film can't avoid: travel, gear, access. A partner can also carry it further, into rooms we wouldn't reach alone. Independence isn't isolation, and shared interests are welcome, as long as the storytelling stays ours, from the writing to the final cut. What we keep out is dependence, and the wait for permission that comes with it.
These are the films we make on our own terms. We bring the same approach to films for brands and partners.
